New members of the YMCA receive a book that details the Y mission, Center amenities, rules, and features coupons. As with all Y marketing materials, we produce a spanish version as well.
YMCA of Metro Chicago/Premiums and Merchandise
Since 2008 we’ve designed Employee t-shirts to extend YMCA campaign themes. And as part of the YMCA’s Member Retention initiative, we developed a themed series of direct mail motivating and rewarding additional member participation at the local Center level with t-shirts and other merchandise for various membership milestones.
YMCA of Metro Chicago/2009 Membership Campaign
In 2009 it was clear our economy was in a deep recession. To circumvent the loss of the Y's member base and demonstrate a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, we proposed a tie-in with Dominick's that offered a $10 gift card to all new members as part of a larger "Health Stimulus Package" which included rate freezes, discounts and financial assistance for members in need. The theme "Healthy Means..." was extended for the year and utilized a variety of targeted media: print, billboard, direct mail, mass transit, (bilingual) radio and web advertising as well as Center signage and theme specific employee apparel.
YMCA of Metro Chicago/150th Anniversary Outdoor Media
In 2008 the YMCA of Metro Chicago celebrated their 150th anniversary. They asked us to redesign their logo and launch an image/donor campaign. We positioned them as "Belonging to Chicago" and developed print, mass transit, outdoor billboards, tv/radio PSAs and web advertising as well as Center posters and banners. We also designed a wallscape for their headquarters that stands to this day.

YMCA of Metro Chicago/YES magazine, premiere issue, Summer 2011
The fundraising/donor relations department of the YMCA of Metro Chicago asked us to develop a print vehicle specifically for select donors and targeting new prospects. We worked with a copywriter and designed each step of the premier issue of a long format magazine from layout of the editorial sections through final printing and distribution. The magazine will be produced 3x year.
YMCA of Metro Chicago/2011 Annual Fund Campaign
The Development department of the YMCA of Metro Chicago asked us to develop a year long program for reaching new donors and supporting their Annual Fund. We designed direct mail series that was customized for each Center as well as Center support materials.
YMCA of Greater New York/2012 Areas of Focus Fact Sheets
New York City's YMCA asked us to design platform sheets focused on the Y's three 'Areas of Focus' (Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility). We graphically demonstrated 'the need' by incorporating statistics with signature programs and community partners.
YMCA of Greater New York/2012 Strong Kids Campaign
New York City’s YMCA kicks off its 2012 Strong Kids campaign: “I can’t tell MY STORY without the Y.” Six strong kids tell their stories of how the Y helped them overcome obstacles and find inner resources. The campaign included print advertising, direct mail, Gala signage, interior graphics and a short-format video.
YMCA of Greater New York/2012 Board Invitations
New York City's YMCA asked us to design invitations for two events, their Board Summit, "Growing Great Governance: Not a Spectator Sport" meeting focused on making boards work as teams. The Legislative Breakfast, “Building the Foundations of a Healthier Community” built on their theme, "We're Here for Good." Invitations included print and e-blasts.
